Honesty Impresses The Fans

Robert
Connor met the Ayr United fans recently at an Open Forum at
the Cariston Hotel, Miller Road, Ayr arranged by the
Honest Men Trust. Robert impressed the fans by talking honestly,
amongst other things, about his opinions on his current squad,
his teams prospects for this season as well the new Youth Academy.

discussions around the Committee structure and the members feelings
were voiced on the future direction of the Trust. Progress reports
were presented from office-bearers and the annual accounts were
approved showing further profits over the last year for the
Trust. New society board members Lynn McConnachie and Robert
Ritchie were also voted into office. Thank you to everyone who
took the time to turn up and debate a number of issues and challenges
ahead for the Honest Men Trust.
The
Honest Men Trust Are Away Sponsors 2005-2006

A
successful event took place recently at Somerset Park when the
clubs first shirt sponsorship event produced Home Bakery, Ayr
as winner of the home sponsored Ayr shirt for the new season
with the Honest Men Trust claiming the away top second prize.
Over
80 tickets were sold raising over £24,000 upfront cash,
as well as approximately an additional £2,500 from an
auction on the night. Sidney Devine drew the tickets and milked
the well attended audience. Brian Calders Events Company put
on a fine professional production. Gordon McBlains face was
priceless as he picked up the well deserved first prize.
Next
years event is only going to be bigger and better. Well done
to all the organisers, individuals and local business who made
it a fantastic night.
