Trust
Announce Fans Share Of Ayr United
As
promised by Donald Cameron, the Club’s major shareholder,
the Trust’s donation of over £10,300 for last
year’s Players Fund has now been translated into
51,900 shares in the Club. Taken together with proxies
held on behalf of members, The Trust is now the second
biggest shareholder in the Club - albeit a long way behind
Mr. Cameron. The Trust is committed to voicing the true
supporters’ views. And continuing its efforts to
achieve a more community focus for the Club.
United
For Youth Events
Following
the successful quiz night and fans’ donations, the
first instalment of £1,000 has been made over to
Ayr United to help fund the club’s Skillseekers
programme. Further fund -raising events are planned with
a Racenight at Prestwick Cricket Club on Friday 26 November
being promoted by Kaisayr.

A
meeting for all Ayr United Fans was held in the upstairs
Lounge of the Market Inn last Saturday. Despite a disappointing
turnout in numbers the majority of fans who attended showed
their support of the United For Youth campaign, raising
monies to help secure and support the Ayr United Skillseekers
programme for this season. Trust Supporter Director and
United Director John Dalton answered fans questions and
asked that everyone rally round our club at this difficult
time. Fundraising ideas taken from the floor included
a 500 club, Burns Supper and a music concert. An initial
programme of events has been drawn up and these include
a Quiz Night, race night organised by KaisAyr and a St
Andrews Dinner.
