THE
HONEST MEN TRUST

Player
Fund Exceeds Target At £10,283
A
tremendous effort by Ayr United Supporters from all over the
UK has delivered a successful Player Fund which has helped Campbell
Money strengthen the United squad during the transfer window.
A target of £10,000 was set at the beginning of December
and this was exceeded as fans donated right up to the deadline
hour. Each supporter who donated should be proud that they have
helped their club as we go into a crucial time of the season.
The Honest Men Trust would like to thank everyone who helped
make the Player Fund a success. Above United Chairman John Duncan
receives the cheque from Trust representatives Callum Yorke
and Neil Bone. Looking on are United manager Campbell Money
and the three new signings Steven Miller, Jamie Doyle and Graham
Brown.
James
Proctor, Development Officer for Supporters Direct in Scotland
said "The ability of the Ayr fans, through the Supporters'
Trust, to raise a five figure sum in such a short time shows
that the passion for football still exists in communities throughout
the country. At a time when investors are thin on the ground
the work of these supporters demonstrates that a good relationship
with the community is the best insurance policy any football
club can buy."
