"A club not mentioned before in these pages is that of Ayr United. Since the conference we have been dealing with a group of fans in Ayr and they are now moving ahead with their fans to form a Trust. This measured rate of progress is somewhat typical of the situation in Scotland. Without the shock of administration often associated with English Trusts the timescale tends to be longer and, in one sense, more considered. However the end result is usually the same – a solid Trust with strong foundations."
